Thousands of animals are abandoned each year in Harris county. With the increasing economic struggle, the growing population of stray cats and dogs is staggering.
We are not a shelter, but a group of animal lovers that are providing a safe haven for strays by fostering until a forever home is found.
Safe Haven Being Built
We are constructing a "safe haven" for rescued animals until forever homes can be found. This facility will save strays that have been abandoned and face euthanization in our over populated shelters. All animals in our program are vaccinated and sterilized prior to placement. According to the Humane Society, 10,000 babies are born in the US on any given day. On that same day 70,000 kittens and puppies are born. We can't help them all, but we can make a difference in the lives of the ones we encounter.
Helping hand volunteers and donations are needed for our continued success. Thanks for your consideration.
Volunteers are needed to foster these little ones until they are placed with a family. If you are interested in fostering please contact us at: info@riseinfaith.org

The Bureau of Animal Control and Regulations has added a help desk to assist pet owners with viable resources in Harris County. The help desk's goal is to decrease the number of owner surrenders the city is challenged with. By educating consumers on local animal rescues, foster programs, low cost vaccinations, spay & neuter programs, feral cat TNR program, & pet food assistance for seniors. For continued success, we need volunteers to assist at the booth. The shifts are 11:30 am - 2:30 pm and 2:30pm - 5:00. Please email us if can can volunteer a few hours a day. volunteer@riseinfaith.org
